Large Window Plant Shelf

This home features a stair landing with a large, floor-up window that’s flooded with afternoon and evening sun. While a perfect place for indoor plants, a tasteful balance of shelf space and natural light flux was important. It was also necessary to achieve the built-in look while making it removable for any window service or repairs. Designed with a mix of half (2:1) and full rounded edges, as well as square-faced horizontal shelves, this solid poplar piece accents an unused space with brilliant pops of life and light.
